JOHN TAYLOR, COO

John serves as Chief Operations Officer of Gateway HHC, bringing more than two decades of experience in home health operations, consulting, and provider support. He began his career in home health leadership in 2001 as an Operations Manager for a metro Detroit home health agency, where he spent 11 years overseeing operational and clinical processes.

Since 2006, John has worked as an administrative consultant for home health and hospice providers nationwide and has been instrumental in the successful startup of more than 100 home health agencies. His expertise includes ADR and appeals processing, including representing home health providers at the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) level of appeals.

John’s commitment to the industry is deeply personal. After witnessing firsthand the challenges his mother, grandmother, and later he himself experienced while receiving home health services, he became passionate about improving patient care and care plan development. These experiences shaped his belief that providers should be able to focus more on patient outcomes and less on administrative burdens.

Through his work with Gateway, John helps agencies streamline coding, assessment quality assurance, claim denial management, and appeals processes for both home health and hospice providers. His goal is to help organizations reduce administrative strain so clinicians can dedicate more time and attention to delivering quality patient care.
